Lincoln Memorial
It is open to the public 24 hours a day and is free to visit.
I've always seen it on the five dollar bills and the pennies, so I really wanted to actually go and see it.
Not only will I learn how they decided to build it, but also about how Lincoln contributed to this country.
Korean War Veterans Memorial
It is located southeast of the Lincoln Memorial. They have walls which is 164 feet long and 9 inches thick. It has more than 2,500 photographic, archival images representing the troops who supported and fought in the war.
Since I'm from Korea I wanted to go and see. I'm grateful to all the troops who fought and want to learn more about it at the memorials.
I really think it's interesting that you're going to visit the nation's capital. D.C. is an electric place and the memorials that they have are breathtaking during the day and night. I think you'll find the stop in D.C. to be a really great addition to your definition of what a road trip is.
